A easy tool to make a capture all or part of your computer screen is the Snipping application. You can add your capture to notes, emails, word documents or save it as a picture.
There are four or three different types of snips depending what version of windows your are using:
- Rectangular snip. It is the most common used, drag the cursor around the area you want to capture to form a rectangle.
- Free-form snip. You can move the cursor around a specific object.
- Full-screen snip. Capture the entire screen.
How to open the application?
Select the start button, then type “snipping tool and select the box that pops up from the list of results. You can pin to the task bar to access it easily for future use.

Alt+M | Choose a snipping mode. |
Alt + N | Create a new snip in the same mode as the last one. |
